And I guess you know that Potts won the whole thing. They interviewed him on NPR (either Morning Edition or Weekend Edition) several weeks ago. Quite an inspiring story. He won a smaller talent contest a few years ago and used the prize money to go to Italy to study voice.
I was thrilled to see that! Brought tears to my eyes. His genuine humility standing on stage was so obvious. All I could think about was how I am a sinner, saved by God's wonderful grace, and act like an arrogant jerk fat too often. Okay, you are probably wondering HOW i got that from this video. Well, watch it again and notice the man on stage. There was definitely an attitude of humility in his demeanor.
