The image for the blog banner is a bit more dramatic. The sky kept changing, so I got a number of different colors in each shot. The shot in this post has subtle yellow tones; but the banner image has more bright orange and reds.

Wow that is great. Also, members of our church here is Iowa look forward to hearing you speak in Pella this next week. I have been plugging it, although we will be out of town unfortunately.
May I steal this one for my desktop wallpaper?
Thanks, Mark. I'm sorry I'll miss you!
Yes, Valerie, please feel free. Make sure, however, that you praise my name profusely! ;-)
Oh, Valerie, you can find a higher quality image to download here:

Um...yeah, I already kinda found and stole the higher-res image. That whole permission-asking thing was a ruse to cover my tracks. And I added a caption that says, "By Jeffrey J. Meyers, world's greatest photographer, blogger, theologian, rocket scientist, brain surgeon, superhero, and really humble guy."
lol that last line was funny val, and very wrong!! dads so not humble!!
Golly, Beck, I'm so surprised to discover that!
Jeff,
Is that the church on the road near the Gibbs' house? It looks a lot like it. Regardless, it's a great photo.
Jennifer: Yes. The first time I saw it was when I visited them years ago.
The colors are fantastic. There is something special about storm clouds, sunset, etc. I thirst for these scenes.
Thanks, Jeff.

The Dell tech support lady gave it a thumbs-up.
